Daily Caller February 7, 2019 Federal prosecutors plan to appeal U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro’s decision to dismiss the charges against Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy by Feb. 6, according to a Wednesday court filing. Navarro dismissed the case against Bundy, his two sons and one other man “with prejudice” on Jan. 8, 2018, preventing the defendants from being retried. Bundy and the others faced 15 criminal charges related to a standoff with federal officials at his ranch in 2014. Continue Reading…..

oregonlive.com February 7, 2019 “The extraordinary remedy of dismissal with prejudice was far out of proportion to such violations,” wrote Elizabeth O. White, appellate chief in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Nevada. “Any missteps were inadvertent (or at worst negligent), and those errors did not merit the court’s strong condemnation of the prosecution team.” White asked the appeals panel to reverse Navarro’s dismissal and send the case back to federal court in Nevada. By David Ferrara Las Vegas Review-Journal February 7, 2019 Federal prosecutors filed opening briefs Wednesday in their appeal of a judge’s dismissal of felony conspiracy and weapons charges against Bunkerville rancher Cliven Bundy and others. A year ago, U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro threw out the case against Bundy, his sons Ammon and Ryan, and independent militia member Ryan Payne after finding “flagrant prosecutorial misconduct.” Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth White asked the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to reverse Navarro’s decision, defending the Justice Department’s actions at trial. While I do not wish to cast aspersions on Charley Black and…

By Larry Klayman WND January 29, 2019 Last Friday morning, for one of the few times in years, I got up late, at 7:30 am Eastern, as I was a bit tired after traveling from the West Coast to Washington, D.C., on Wednesday to prep one of my clients who had been subpoenaed before Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s grand jury. On Thursday, as I appeared at the federal courthouse and took the elevator to the fourth floor, which is where the grand jury room is located, I was escorted into a small waiting room. Shortly after I situated myself,…

By Lee Moran HuffPost January 29, 2019 Roger Stone has been dubbed “a total Beavis” by a Republican senator. Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) likened President Donald Trump’s former associate to one half of MTV’s animated duo “Beavis and Butt-Head” on Monday. “I’ve watched this man. He talked himself into an indictment,” Kennedy said after making the cartoon comparison. Continue Reading…..
