By Katelyn Polantz CNN May 30, 2019 Washington (CNN)The longtime political stuntman Roger Stone faced an exasperated judge on Thursday, as his lawyers failed to gain traction with bold legal arguments criticizing special counsel Robert Mueller before Stone’s November criminal trial. At the two-and-a-half-hour court hearing, Judge Amy Berman Jackson of the DC District Court didn’t rule on requests Stone has made to puncture the case against him but got his legal team to admit flaws in almost all of their arguments. Stone’s team, however, still appears to have hope that they may get access to redacted parts of…

Trump: ‘Roy Moore cannot win’ Alabama Senate seat By Brett Samuels TheHill May 29, 2019 President Trump on Wednesday signaled that he’s opposed to Roy Moore running for Senate in Alabama again, arguing the former judge “cannot win.” “Republicans cannot allow themselves to again lose the Senate seat in the Great State of Alabama. This time it will be for Six Years, not just Two,” Trump tweeted. “I have NOTHING against Roy Moore, and unlike many other Republican leaders, wanted him to win. But he didn’t, and probably won’t,” the president continued. “If Alabama does not elect a…

By Zack Budryk TheHill May 16, 2019 Former judge and Senate candidate Roy Moore is calling for a federal judge who ruled against him in his lawsuit against comedian Sacha Baron Cohen to be removed from the case, saying the judge disrespected him by not referring to him as “Chief Justice.” In a filing on Tuesday, Moore’s lawyer, Judicial Watch founder Larry Klayman, asked for U.S. District Judge Thomas F. Hogan to resign from the case and for Hogan’s ruling, which granted Cohen’s request to transfer the case from Washington, D.C., to New York, to be reconsidered. “To be…
Roger Stone Makes Strip Club Appearance to Raise Cash for Defense TMZ May 7, 2019 Roger Stone is under the gun and under-funded for his legal defense — so, ironically, he’s ripped a page out of Stormy Daniels’ playbook — making big money at a Virginia strip club. Don’t worry, President Trump’s former campaign adviser remained fully clothed Saturday night at Papermoon Southside Gentleman’s Club in Richmond. He was the guest of honor, though … taking photos with fans and signing autographs … sometimes right on dancers’ asses. The club’s director of special events, Mike Dickinson, tells TMZ…
By Larry Klayman WND May 1, 2019 Last Monday, on behalf of my friend and client Chief Justice Roy Moore of Alabama, I appeared in front of the former chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia who is now on senior status, the Honorable Thomas J. Hogan (courtroom illustration above). The reason? I had filed a complaint against the low-class comedian Sasha Baron Cohen, Showtime and its parent company, CBS, over their having maliciously defamed Judge Moore by falsely portraying him as a pedophile. On the show “Who is America?” Cohen, appearing in disguise…
By John Wagner Washington Post May 1, 2019 A new fundraising pitch for Roy Moore, the Republican who lost a special Senate election in Alabama amid accusations of sexual misconduct in the 1970s, cites the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh as a reason he might run again next year. The fundraising message, signed by Moore’s wife, Kayla Moore, points to Kavanaugh’s ability last year to “survive” accusations of sexual misconduct in the 1980s and says Moore is still “seriously considering another run for the United States Senate!” Moore, a former Alabama Supreme Court justice, is seeking…
By Associated Press WBMA May 1, 2019 A lawsuit that former U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore filed against comedian Sacha Baron Cohen will be heard in New York. A federal judge on Monday ordered the case transferred from Washington, D.C., in accordance with a waiver Moore signed before appearing on the comedian’s television show. Moore filed a defamation lawsuit over his appearance on “Who is America?” The former state chief justice says he thought he was receiving an award for supporting Israel. Instead, Cohen lampooned him as a possible pedophile in connection with sexual misconduct allegations that arose during…
