Sasha Baron Cohen Loses to Judge Roy Moore!
New York Federal Judge Denies Motion to Dismiss as Case Heads to Discovery
(New York, New York, July 2, 2020). Today, Larry Klayman, the founder of both Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, and a former federal prosecutor, announced that the Honorable Andrew Carter denied a motion to dismiss filed by Sasha Baron Cohen, Showtime and CBS, over a defamation lawsuit which former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court Roy Moore and his wife Kayla Moore filed over Cohen having allegedly slandered Moore as a pedophile during his now cancelled show "Who is America?"

The case will now proceed to discovery, where the Moores intend to take depositions and obtain evidence of and from Cohen and other relevant persons at Showtime and CBS and their related entities.

The Moores had put the defendants on notice that if they aired the offensive and defamatory interview of Cohen, who posed in disguise as an Israeli Mossad agent, that they would be sued for large damages. And, when defendants did not heed the warning, and aired the interview anyway, the Moores brought suit.

The case is styled Moore et al. v. Cohen et al., Case No. 19-cv-04977 (S.D. N.Y.) and is being litigated in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, after it had been transferred over a year ago from the federal court in Washington, D.C.

Larry Klayman had this to say upon receiving the favorable ruling earlier today from Judge Carter during a telephonic status conference:

"We are gratified that the Court is allowing the Moores' case to go forward and we look forward to putting Cohen and the other defendants under oath. The alleged defamation of Chief Justice Moore was malicious and despicable and it is time that a jury of the parties' peers allow justice to be done. Great harm has been caused to my clients, which must be addressed and remedied."

With a title that satirically mocks Hillary Clinton, this book details how our executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government have become thoroughly corrupt and failed the citizenry. This work is a call to arms during these times of crises, when government corruption has hit a “cancerous state.” The overriding message is that Americans should turn off cable news, get up off of the couch, and join the second American Revolution to restore the greatness of our nation in these perilous times.
